Wellness Programme
Wellness in Ubud is easy to overcomplicate. There are enough classes, cleanses, and ceremonies here to fill a month, and most guests arrive tired enough that the schedule becomes another thing to manage. What follows is a gentler version, built around the villa itself and a few good places nearby.
START WHERE YOU ARE
The quietest hour in Singakerta is the one just after sunrise, before the roads wake up. The pool is six metres, which is enough to swim slowly in, and the terrace catches the early light. Nothing here requires booking or leaving the property. Most people find the first morning is the one that does the most work.
MOVEMENT, IF YOU WANT IT
The Yoga Barn in Padangtegal runs a large daily schedule across several studios, from restorative and yin through to stronger practices, and drop-ins are welcome. It is about ten minutes from the villa. If a room full of people is not the idea, Pyramids of Chi nearby offers sound healing sessions instead, which ask nothing of the body at all.
WATER AND HEAT
The hot tub is worth using properly, ideally late, after the heat has gone out of the day. For something more ceremonial, the traditional Balinese spas around Ubud offer long massages with warm oil and flower baths, and our team can book one and arrange the drive. A two-hour treatment in the afternoon is the single most reliable reset we know of.
EAT SIMPLY
Ubud makes this easy. Breakfast at the villa comes in American or Asian style, and the town is full of places doing fresh, plant-heavy food without ceremony. You do not need a cleanse. A few days of fruit, rice, greens, and enough water usually does what a cleanse claims to.
WALK IN THE MORNING
The Campuhan Ridge Walk, fifteen minutes north, is the obvious one, and it is genuinely better at sunrise. Closer to home, the lanes through Nyuh Kuning take about forty minutes at an unhurried pace and pass more or less nothing, which is the point.
LEAVE SPACE
The temptation is to fill the days. Our advice, offered gently, is to book half of what you think you can manage. Rest is not what happens between activities. It is the thing itself, and it needs room.
Tell us what you would like and we will arrange the bookings, the driver, and the timings.
